Nexra Labs ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Nexra Chat Buttons & WhatsApp application (the "App") for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you install and use our App.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use the App, we access and process the following data from your Shopify store:

  • Store Information: Store name, domain, email address, and Shopify plan information
  • Theme Data: Theme information for injecting chat button scripts into the storefront
  • Storefront Visitor Analytics: Anonymized click and interaction data on chat buttons (page URL, button type, timestamp). No personally identifiable information is collected from store visitors.
  • Conditional Display Rules: Page URLs, device types, and scheduling rules configured by the merchant

We do not collect customer personal data, payment information, order details, or any chat conversation content. Chat conversations occur directly on the respective platform (WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.) and are not routed through our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

  • Rendering and displaying chat buttons on your storefront
  • Applying conditional display rules (page-specific, device-specific, time-based)
  • Providing click and interaction analytics for button performance
  • Providing app functionality, support, and service improvements

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or transfer your store data or visitor analytics to any third party.

When a store visitor clicks a chat button, they are redirected to the respective messaging platform (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, etc.). The privacy policies of those platforms govern any data collected during the chat.

We may use the following third-party service providers to operate the App:

  • Cloud hosting providers for data storage and processing
  • Analytics services for App performance monitoring (aggregated, non-personal data only)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Regular security audits and monitoring

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your store data and analytics for as long as the App is installed on your store. Upon uninstallation:

  • All configuration data and analytics are deleted within 30 days
  • Chat button scripts are automatically removed from your storefront
  • Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data may be retained

6. Storefront Visitor Privacy

Our App respects the privacy of your store's visitors:

  • We do not use cookies for tracking purposes
  • We do not collect personally identifiable information from visitors
  • Click analytics are anonymized and aggregated
  • No visitor data is shared with advertising networks

7. GDPR Compliance

For merchants and customers in the European Economic Area (EEA), we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability

We support Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks for customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure.

8. CCPA Compliance

For California residents, in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect and to request its deletion.

9. Shopify API Data Usage

Our use of Shopify API data complies with Shopify's API Terms of Service and data protection requirements. We only access the minimum data necessary to provide App functionality.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice within the App or by email.
