Nexra Labs ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Nexra SEO Description & Blog application (the "App") for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you install and use our App.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use the App, we access and process the following data from your Shopify store:

  • Store Information: Store name, domain, email address, and Shopify plan information
  • Product Data: Product titles, descriptions, images, tags, vendors, product types, and metafields
  • Page & Blog Data: Page titles, content, blog posts, and associated metadata
  • Image Data: Product and page images for alt text generation
  • SEO Metadata: Meta titles, meta descriptions, URL handles
  • Theme Data: Theme information for page speed analysis

We do not collect customer personal data, payment information, or order details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

  • Generating AI-powered product descriptions, meta titles, and meta descriptions
  • Creating AI-generated blog posts based on your product catalog
  • Generating image alt texts for accessibility and SEO optimization
  • Performing SEO audits and generating SEO reports
  • Analyzing page speed and providing performance recommendations
  • Providing app functionality, support, and service improvements

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

To provide AI-powered content generation, we send product and page data to third-party AI service providers (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) for processing. This data is:

  • Transmitted securely via encrypted connections
  • Used solely for generating content and not retained by the AI provider beyond the request
  • Not used to train third-party AI models

We may also use:

  • Cloud hosting providers for data storage and processing

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your store and content data for as long as the App is installed on your store. Upon uninstallation:

  • All product data, generated content, and reports are deleted within 30 days
  • Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data may be retained

For merchants and customers in the European Economic Area (EEA), we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:

We support Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks for customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure.

8. Shopify API Data Usage

Our use of Shopify API data complies with Shopify's API Terms of Service and data protection requirements. We only access the minimum data necessary to provide App functionality.
